Restaurant marketing in Dubai that fills your tables and your delivery orders

Restaurant marketing in Dubai is the practice of promoting a restaurant or cafe through digital channels, Google Business Profile, Instagram and Meta Ads, Google Ads and local SEO, so that diners discover it, visit, book and order. I am Mubin Shaikh, a trade-licensed digital marketing freelancer in Dubai, and I run restaurant marketing under UAE Trade Licence No. 1618922 and Social Media Advertiser Permit No. 475238.

Dubai is one of the most competitive dining markets in the world, with an enormous choice of restaurants and cafes and diners who decide where to eat largely online. They search for somewhere nearby, check photos and reviews, scroll Instagram for inspiration, and pick the venue that looks and sounds best. That means a restaurant wins not by existing, but by dominating local search, showing mouth-watering visual content, earning strong reviews, and staying front of mind, increasingly across both dine-in and delivery. Restaurant marketing turns that online attention into full tables and steady orders.

This page explains how restaurant and cafe marketing works in Dubai, which channels bring diners, and what working with an independent, licensed specialist looks like.

The Full Picture

What restaurant marketing in Dubai involves

Restaurant marketing blends local visibility, appetising visual content and reviews, increasingly across dine-in and delivery. Google Business Profile and local search win nearby diners, Instagram and Meta content and ads build appetite and awareness, Google Ads captures people searching for a place to eat, and reviews and photos reassure. Everything is measured by real outcomes, footfall, bookings, orders and enquiries, not vanity metrics.

The mix is tuned to the venue: some want footfall and bookings for the dining room, some also want delivery orders, and cafes may focus on daytime footfall and regulars. Whatever the goal, local dominance, strong visuals and good reviews are the biggest levers.

Channel By Channel

How each channel brings diners and orders

Google Business Profile: the restaurant's biggest lever

For a restaurant or cafe, the Google Business Profile is often the single most important marketing asset. Most diners search for a restaurant near me, a cuisine nearby, or a cafe in an area and choose from the map, judging venues on photos, ratings, reviews and distance. A complete, well-optimised profile with appetising photos and strong reviews puts the venue at the top and brings real diners through the door.

This means keeping the profile accurate and complete, adding high-quality food and venue photos, posting offers and updates, keeping the menu current, and actively managing reviews, since reviews and ratings strongly influence which restaurant a hungry diner chooses.

Appetising visual content and Instagram

Food is one of the most visual things there is, and diners discover and judge restaurants on Instagram through appetising photos and videos of the food, the venue and the atmosphere. A strong, consistent Instagram presence combined with Instagram and Meta Ads builds appetite and awareness, showing why someone should choose this venue. Great visual content is not optional for a Dubai restaurant; it is central.

The content shows the food at its best and conveys the experience, and ads put it in front of the right diners nearby, driving visits, bookings and orders. The visuals and offers are tested to find what actually brings diners in.

Reviews and reputation drive dining decisions

Reviews strongly influence where diners choose to eat. A venue with many strong, recent reviews and a high rating attracts far more diners than one with few or poor reviews, so building and managing reviews is a core part of restaurant marketing. This means encouraging happy diners to review, responding professionally to all reviews, and maintaining a strong, current reputation across Google and other platforms.

Because a diner comparing venues on the map often chooses on rating and reviews, actively improving reputation directly increases how many diners a restaurant attracts.

Local promotions and campaigns

Restaurants benefit from well-timed promotions, new menus, offers, seasonal events, brunches, and local ads are how they reach the right diners nearby. Meta and Instagram Ads can target the venue's local area with these promotions, driving footfall and bookings at the moments that matter. Well-timed, well-targeted local promotions are a strong lever for filling tables on quieter days and for launches.

The creative and offers are tuned to what brings diners in, and results are tracked so budget flows to the promotions and channels that drive real visits and bookings.

Dine-in and delivery together

Many Dubai restaurants want both a full dining room and steady delivery orders. Marketing can drive both: promoting the dine-in experience and bookings locally, while supporting delivery orders through the venue's own ordering system or delivery platforms. Balancing the two lets a restaurant capture diners however they want to eat, at home or at the venue.

Every outcome, footfall, bookings, orders and enquiries, is tracked, so the restaurant knows which channels and campaigns bring customers, and budget flows to what works. For delivery-only operations, the cloud kitchen and food delivery page covers that in depth.

Why Work With Me

Why work with Ads with Mubin

I am an independent, trade-licensed digital marketing freelancer, not a large agency. I run your restaurant's marketing directly, one accountable person who understands local dining, visual food content, reviews and balancing dine-in with delivery. You are not handed to a junior, and your budget is not lost to agency overhead.

I run local search, Google Business Profile, visual social and promotion-led campaigns across Dubai sectors, so I understand what actually brings diners to a venue. I keep a short client list so your restaurant gets genuine attention, and I never take a percentage of your ad spend.

Honest Expectations

What results to realistically expect

No honest marketer guarantees a number of customers. What I commit to is proper setup, honest optimisation toward footfall, bookings, orders and enquiries, and transparent reporting. Because local marketing works quickly, more diners and bookings usually build within the first few weeks of the profile and local ads going live, while local SEO, reviews and Instagram compound over 60 to 90 days.

The realistic path is a steady increase in diners, bookings and orders, a stronger local presence and reputation, and a marketing setup you can trust, across both dine-in and delivery.

Management retainers start at AED 4,999 a month, with a Gold tier at AED 7,499 for venues running across more channels or multiple locations. Ad spend is separate, paid directly to the platforms, and never marked up. Three-month minimum, then month to month.

Restaurant Marketing FAQs

What is restaurant marketing in Dubai?
Restaurant marketing in Dubai is promoting a restaurant or cafe through digital channels, Google Business Profile, Instagram and Meta Ads, Google Ads and local SEO, so that diners discover it, visit, book and order. It blends driving footfall and bookings to the venue with delivery orders and a strong local, visual presence.
How do restaurants and cafes get more customers in Dubai?
Google Business Profile and local search win nearby diners searching for somewhere to eat, Instagram and Meta content and ads build appetite and awareness, and reviews and photos reassure. For most restaurants, local visibility, mouth-watering visual content and strong reviews are the biggest levers.
Is Google Business Profile important for restaurants?
Very. Most diners search for a restaurant near me, a cuisine nearby, or a cafe in an area and choose from the map, judging venues on photos, reviews and ratings. A well-optimised Google Business Profile with strong photos and reviews is often the single highest-return change for a restaurant.
How much does restaurant marketing cost in Dubai?
Management retainers start at AED 4,999 a month, with Gold at AED 7,499. Ad spend is separate and never marked up. Most restaurants and cafes see results from around AED 6,000 to 15,000 a month in ad spend, depending on the venue, goals and whether promoting delivery too.
How quickly will a restaurant see more customers?
With Google Business Profile optimisation and local ads, more footfall, bookings and enquiries usually build within the first few weeks. Local SEO, reviews and Instagram growth compound over 60 to 90 days and keep improving.
Is Instagram important for restaurant marketing?
Very. Food is visual, and diners discover and judge restaurants on Instagram through appetising photos and videos of the food, venue and atmosphere. Strong, consistent visual content and Instagram and Meta Ads are a key channel for driving visits and bookings.
Can you help with reviews and reputation?
Yes. Reviews strongly influence which restaurant a diner chooses, so building and managing reviews professionally and responding well is part of the work. Strong, recent reviews and ratings on Google and other platforms directly affect how many diners a venue attracts.
Can you drive both dine-in and delivery?
Yes. Many restaurants want footfall and bookings for the venue and orders through delivery. Campaigns can drive both, promoting the dine-in experience locally while supporting delivery orders, whether through the venue's own ordering or delivery platforms.
Will you take over our existing marketing or start fresh?
Either. I can audit and take over existing accounts and your Google Business Profile, keeping what works and fixing what does not, or build from scratch. Most restaurants have a basic profile and social presence that needs proper attention.
Do you guarantee a number of customers or bookings?
No, and be cautious of anyone who does. I commit to proper setup, honest optimisation toward footfall, bookings, orders and enquiries, and transparent reporting.
Do I deal with you directly or an account manager?
You deal with me directly, Mubin Shaikh. There is no account manager in between and no junior handling your account. One person plans, runs and reports on everything.
Is there a long contract or lock-in?
No long lock-in. The minimum is three months so the work has time to show results, and after that it is month to month.
How do you charge, and is ad spend included?
I charge a flat monthly management fee starting at AED 4,999. Your ad spend is separate, stays in your own accounts, and is billed directly by the platforms. I never mark up ad spend or take a percentage of it.
Why don't you take a percentage of ad spend?
Because charging a percentage creates an incentive to push your budget higher whether or not it helps. A flat fee keeps my advice honest: I recommend the spend that makes sense for you, not for my invoice.
How often will I get reports?
You get clear reporting on a regular schedule covering bookings, orders, enquiries, footfall and messages, plus what was done and what is next, in plain language rather than jargon.
How will we communicate?
Mostly WhatsApp for quick updates, plus calls and email as needed. You get a direct line to me, not a ticketing system, so questions get answered quickly.
What do you need from me to get started?
Access to your relevant accounts, a short conversation about your business and the customers you want, and any existing assets like your logo and photos. I handle the technical setup from there.
What languages do you work in?
I work in English and Hindi, which covers most business communication in Dubai. Customer-facing campaigns and content can be produced in English and Arabic, with Arabic handled through trusted native support where needed.
Are you licensed to run advertising in the UAE?
Yes. Ads with Mubin holds UAE Trade Licence No. 1618922 and Social Media Advertiser Permit No. 475238, so I can issue proper invoices and legally run paid advertising in the UAE, which many informal freelancers cannot.
What happens if the marketing is not working?
If the numbers are not moving, we look at why, the offer, the landing page, the targeting or the tracking, and fix the real problem. Because there is no long lock-in, you are never trapped in something that is not delivering.
